Apple, mindful of the last Flashback event, swiftly updated Java for Mac OS X version 10.6 update 9. With this release Apple takes Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_33 providing a number of important security improvements for Mac OS X.
This 76MB software download is available for users of Mac OS X, and Mac OS X Server 10.6.8 as well as Mac OS X Lion, and Lion Server 10.7.4 which clocks in at a 64MB file.
