Should You Buy The New iPhone 5?

Apple has updated the iPhone to the latest model, the iPhone 5. Question is; should you upgrade to the new iPhone? I think the answer depends on a number of factors you might want to consider.

Is it time to upgrade?

The first issue is where you are in your typical 2-year cellphone contract. If you're at the end, you're home free; but what if you bought-in at the last iPhone, the iPhone 4S? most user's find the new iPhone to be so compelling, that they are more than willing to switch to the new model when it comes out each year.

We here at MacToTheFuture find that upgrading to the new iPhone 5 to be a no-brainer, as Apple adds more functionally with each update while keeping the price the same.

The iPhone stands for quality

There's an old saying “you get what you pay for” and while the competition tends to phones for a penny, or even free; their mobile phones are thrown-together as cheaply as possible to mimic Apple's design without putting in the years of research and development necessary to produce a quality product.


These cheap phones often have numerous problems, a friend was showing me his new model until it started crashing and rebooting itself. These people like to brag that they got a phone for a penny without realizing that Apple now offers the iPhone 4, for free (with a standard 2-year contract) so those of you who are price-sensitive, now have an option to get an iPhone for free.


Why buy junk, when you can upgrade to Apple's legendary attention-to-detail at the same price? Do you want a cheaply-made throwaway phone?, or a quality, well-made iPhone that “just works” right out of the box? Making the right choice now can save you from headaches down the line.

The message is clear

When choosing a new phone, the user experience is paramount, and when it comes to sound quality, battery life, Siri, customer service and many others, the iPhone wins hands-down. So, the question is: Should you buy the new iPhone 5? and the answer is a resounding yes!.
