iPad mini Announcement - Price, Features and Release Date

Apple announced the iPad mini today along with a slew of other new updated products.  The iPad mini size is smaller than the regular iPad, yet sports a roomy 7.9 inch screen, making it the first iPad small enough to hold comfortably in one hand.  Specs are as follows:

• Dual-core A5 chip
• 7.2mm thick
• 5 megapixel iSight camera
• Supports 1080p HD FaceTime video
• 10 hours of battery life

The iPad mini starts out at 16 GB of storage for for the entry-level unit.  Apple is also offering an upgrade to an LTE iPad Mini for an extra $130.  The iPad mini price is an astounding $329 for the Wi-Fi model, pre-orders start October 26th, and the Wi-Fi iPad mini release date has them shipping on November 2nd.
